ProChimia offers a unique selection of thiols for the preparation of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) on metal surfaces (notably, on gold and silver). Our offer includes
(i) thiols that form SAMs resistant to protein and cell adsorption
(ii) thiols with functional end-groups to which molecules of interest (proteins,
oligopeptides, DNA, small ligands) can be covalently linked
(iii) thiols that stabilize nanoparticles
The success of any of these applications depends crucially on the quality/purity of the thiols used. To meet this demand, we have developed special synthetic schemes and purification procedures that lead to truly ultrapure thiols. Our thiols are always fresh when they reach you - no disulfides or other decomposition products. In fact, we store all our thiols in a stable, protected form - they are deprotected only on the day of shipment, and are immediately packed into glass ampules under argon.
In addition to thiols, we offer a selection of functionalized disulfides and PEG-terminated silanes (for attachment to glass or PDMS surfaces), as well as coupling reagents and synthetic building blocks you might find useful in your research.
