Description
Sulfobetaine methylacrylate, in a form of amphiphilic zwitterionnic copolymer has been shown to exhibit extremely low fouling properties while filtering BSA solutions through the polymer containing membrane. Bengani-Lutz and colleagues obtained contact angle values as low as 29 +/_ 3 deg in a bubble capture test, water uptake of 25% range and ultimately irreversible flux loss lower than 1%. (ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces, 2017).
ProChimia offers an analogous sulfobetaine distal moiety equipped with mercaptoundecane pod to enable suitable, rapid self-assembly on metallic surfaces and nanoparticles.
